The olive grove surrounding the house is very special. There are several trees that are very old.
The old trunks stand to show the hardship they have been through. They survived the devastating frost of 1956.
Cared for, they have continued their life producing new shoots and delivering a reliable olive harvest every year.
The House was designed by the French architects Vaudou & Luthi on the assignment of Monsieurs Claude & Pierre Lucant.
Planning the location of the villa, they carefully considered the olive trees in the olive grove with the purpose to save as many trees as possible. All trees were mapped out in the plans and looking at the drawings we can see that most trees are still here!

In between the buildings there was a space that over the years became neglected and poorly maintained. Seeing this space we saw the potential. We converted the area to a beautiful courtyard, and we found the perfect olive tree to provided shade. A space perfect for the morning coffee!
